SMRC is a world-class hospital and ambulatory care center offering state-of-the-art clinical services and biomedical research. This academic medical center is part of the Qatar Foundation’s Education City campus, which hosts branches of American universities. The 380-bed hospital has dedicated divisions for children’s health, women’s health, and adult acute care. The identity of each specialty hospital is articulated by a sweeping, sail-like atrium form with dedicated drop_off and entrance zones from both street level and underground parking level. Natural materials, including wood, granite, and marble, are used throughout the lobby and public spaces to create a warm and welcoming environment. Located in Doha on Qatar Foundation’s 2,500-acre Education City campus, Sidra Medical and Research Center will initially have around 400 beds with infrastructure to enable expansion to 550 beds in a subsequent phase.

The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal‘ was established in 2004 to be responsible for the planning, design, procurement, construction, delivery, and asset management of all infrastructure projects and public buildings in Qatar. With high aspirations for the future, Ashghal is committed to undertake a huge infrastructure development that will support the future socio-economic growth of the country. Ashghal’s contribution to the overall sustainable economic and social development of the State is pivotal to the future enhancement of Qatar.

The Scope of Works for the Project comprises a new dual carriageway with a Right-In-Right-Out, a Roundabout, and Three Signal Junctions. The main objective of this Project is to provide access to the SCDL’s 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™ Al Rayyan Stadium from the existing Celebration Road.
